We urge you to join us at Wayside UCC in our effort to continue to shine a light on the devastating epidemic of gun violence in our nation.
On Thursday, December 14 at 6:00pm, Wayside will hold a community vigil against gun violence as part of a nation-wide remembrance and call to action on what is the 5th Anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
December 14, 2017 is the five year mark of the heartbreaking Sandy Hook tragedy. Since that tragic day in Newtown five years ago, 500,000 Americans have been killed or injured by guns.
Once again, the media has moved on fairly quickly after the Sutherland Springs mass shooting incident. It’s up to us to keep this issue front and center and to honor all the victims who have been senselessly taken by gun violence.
Thoughts and prayers are not enough. Please join us on December 14.
